Signs, Wonders, and The Christmas Miracle

Christmas. We had just moved back from New York to Mississippi. A close friend was in the hospital recovering from a serious surgery, another friend halfway across the country, needed a miracle. A ten-party prayer chain text was in the works seeking God and covering everyone who was asking for healing, restoration, and in one case, that miracle.

Since I was a little girl, I liked to pray – pray for encouragement, confirmation, a sign.  This day was no different.

I looked out to the sky just like I did all those years ago. And there it is was, a Christmas sunset. Suddenly I saw pink stripes in the sky and what looked like a cross. Then, simultaneously, one of the texting prayer warriors said – Isaiah 53:5 “By His Stripes We Are Healed.”

And within a week they all were … on their way to complete healing.
