My Heart Responds
Through the years there has been much Bible study, many thoughts and opinions, probably a few arguments… possibly more than a few… about the true actual facts, and verifiable dates that JESUS was born, began HIS ministry, died on the cross and rose again. There is nothing wrong with doing deeper study especially if it has a means to an end and accomplishes a worthwhile end result.
What is your approach when you want deeper revelation of GOD’s Word? If you feel your passion is ebbing in your relationship with GOD, how do you fan the flames? How do you reset your priorities when ordinary life seems to consume all of your time? When do you have quality intimate time with the LOVER of your Soul? HE goes out of HIS way daily! HE is constantly letting us know how special we are to HIM! How, when and where are we missing HIM?
We need to become more finely tuned to the frequencies of love, the gentle wooing sounds, the still small voice when HE whispers in our ear, come away with ME! The ONE who watches over us never slumbers or sleeps. HE keeps watch over us as we come and as we go both now and forever. As HE breathed HIS last the Temple veil was fully torn down the middle from top to bottom. HE has given us full access into HIS presence every moment of every day. Why would we not avail ourselves of every possible moment with HIM?
We can go in thirsty and come out refreshed. We can go in hungry and come out full. We can go in weary and come out strengthened. We can go in wounded and come out whole. We can go in depressed and come out joyful. We can go in feeling unloved and come out feeling cherished. Why delay anything so wonderful? May we respond as David did. Psalm 27:8 – My heart has heard YOU say, “Come and talk with ME.” And my heart responds, “LORD, I am coming.”
